Your personal data and their processing

Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, e.g. name or e-mail address and also IP address or geolocation data, are personal data, which we will treat with utmost confidentiality. If you actively supply us with your data via our website, we shall use them solely for the purposes you have specified. Without your consent the data will not be disclosed to third parties, with the exception of our IT provider.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files which are saved to your terminal device when you access our website. Using cookies makes it easier for you to interact with our website and services and ensure smooth and correct application. Most of the used cookies are session cookies, which are saved to your terminal device only temporarily and are automatically deleted after the end of your visit. Other cookies will remain on your terminal device until you decide to delete them. These types of cookies allow identification of the user the next time they use the web application. If you do not agree to the use of cookies, you can block the use of cookies or delete them at any time. For this purpose, a variety of tools are available (including browser control elements and settings). Please consult the Help option in your web browser for more details on how to block cookies. In case you deactivate the use of cookies, please note that we cannot guarantee the proper functioning of all our website offerings.

Statistics

In order to improve our online services we analyse visitors’ statistics from time to time. To do so, we use the open-source web analytics tool “Matomo”. Matomo uses cookies (see above paragraph) to analyse the use of website applications. To this end, usage information generated by cookies is transferred to the server of our IT service provider and stored for usage analysis purposes. This solely serves to optimise our website. During this process, your IP-address is instantly rendered anonymous, so that it can no longer be traced to you or your terminal device. Anonymous, aggregated statistical data are stored separately from any personal data you may have provided and cannot be traced back to an individual person.

You can deactivate data storage by Matomo by changing your browser settings in a way that will ensure that you are not included in such statistical analysis (referred to as “do-not-track”).

When you visit our website, the following information will be automatically collected and stored in log files: your IP-address, the accessed page, name and version of your web browser, referrer as well as date and time of your access. These data will not be processed in a personally identifiable form. We reserve the right for a statistical evaluation of anonymous data records.

Storage of these data is necessary for safety reasons, to ensure the stability and operational reliability of our system. Log files are deleted after a maximum of two years.
